John Thank you for your comment You may find of interest the recent book "The trouble with medical journals" by Richard Smith, past editor of the BMJ. If you do have specific instances of plagarism please let me know

I found the interview interesting but uninspiring. It didn't address the major issues confronting the journal of an extremely high rejection rate of 80% (presumably for original articles), plagarism (including self-plagarism)and the perceived nepotism associated with acceptance for publication in ANZJS. I would like to see a Masterclass on publication acceptance by the Editorial staff on the programme at a RACS ASC.
