Practical Non-Clinical Skills for Surgeons

The intent of Practical Non-Clinical Skills for Surgeons is to provide a forum to present those skills so important to surgeons but that are not included in their formal training. These skills include those related to academic and non-academic endeavours: for example, effective fund-raising, committee work, report preparation, small business principles and practice management.

Many surgeons have learnt on the job how to undertake these tasks and will hopefully be prepared to share their knowledge with others through Practical Non-Clinical Skills for Surgeons.

The above is excerpted from Introducing Practical Non‐Clinical Skills for Surgeons by John P. Harris
